We are now looking for an eager candidate to join us as an apprentice. 

You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience as you complete a Data Analyst- Level 4 Apprenticeship. 

Main purpose of the position: 

As the Apprentice Data Analyst, you will be responsible for providing digital analytic support to the LFC Foundation’s Insight and Impact Manager to ensure the successful delivery of the charity’s annual Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) plans. 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Working closely with the Insights and Impact Manager and the larger LFC Foundation team to support the continual development and implementation of MEL plans to showcase the impact of the LFC Foundation.
  • Identify data sources that meet the organisation's requirement, using evidence-based decision making to establish a rationale for inclusion and exclusion of various data sets and models.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders and colleagues from other areas of the organisation to establish reporting needs and deliver insightful and accurate information.
  • Collect, compile and, if needed, cleanse data, both quantitative and qualitative, solving any problems that arise, to or from a range of internal and external systems.
  • Migrate data on to different systems where needed
  • Produce performance dashboards and reports in the different systems currently used in the LFC Foundation.
  • Support the organisation by maintaining and developing reports for analysis to aid with decisions, and adhering to organisational policy/legislation.
  • Produce a range of standard and non-standard statistical and data analysis reports.
  • Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in data sets.
  • Draw conclusions and recommend an appropriate response, offering guidance and/or interpretation to aid understanding of the data.
  • Summarise and present the results of data analysis to a range of stakeholders, making recommendations.
  • Provide regular reports and analysis to different management or leadership teams, ensuring data is used and represented ethically in line with relevant legislation (e.g. GDPR) and organisational policies and procedures.
  • Ensure data is appropriately stored and archived, in line with relevant legislation and organisation policies and procedures.
  • Practice continuous self-learning to keep up to date with the latest technological developments to enhance relevant skills and take responsibility for own professional development.

  • Support other Foundation programmes and activities as required

What we are looking for: 

Essential knowledge: 

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of data collection techniques and analysis systems
  • Sound codes of practice and GDPR data requirements
  • Sound understanding of quantitative and qualitative and subsequent report writing

Essential Functional / Technical Skills:

  • Experience in data analysis roles or research environment
  • Confident using MS Office including Word, Excel
  • Excellent data input accuracy
  • Strong team working and project management skills with experience multiple projects at once
  • Ability to communicate and build a rapport with a wide range of stakeholders including the local community

 Desirable:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the LFC Foundation and its parent company, Liverpool Football Club (desirable)
  • Sound understanding of safeguarding (desirable)

  • Positive, flexible and pragmatic. Able to cope with uncertainty and sometimes conflicting priorities.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and programmes.
  • Friendly open manner and the ability to communication with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Excellent organisation skills.

The role requires satisfactory enhanced DBS checks.

Upon successful completion, learners will be awarded the Data Analyst including Power BI Level 4 apprenticeship

Salary: 

£18,000 - £20,000 per annum. -- [depending on experience] 

T&C: 

This position is offered on a 21-month fixed term Apprenticeship basis. 

Typically, this role is Monday to Friday. 

The role is based at Anfield Sports Community Centre, Liverpool however the post holder will also be required to work from other locations across Merseyside from time to time, and be willing to travel within England and Wales. 

Future prospects:

92% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally, there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.
