You will be responsible for:

  • Building CI/CD pipelines for our development projects
  • Automating deployment of those projects
  • Automating environment setup for those projects
  • Providing day to day support for failing projects builds
  • Taking an active role in supporting the delivery team in security requirements and constraints
  • Making recommendations to improve our delivery processes where appropriate
  • Configuration and support of the monitoring of live applications

You will need the following skills:

  • A passion for, and awareness of DevOps and/or Platform Engineering, for example current trends and best practices
  • Experience with Linux operating systems
  • Experience with container technologies
  • Knowledge of managing Azure virtual machines, virtual networks, and Azure SQL
  • Knowledge of IP addressing and TCP/IP networking, routing, and firewalls
  • One or more Microsoft certification or exam
  • Experience of ISO27001 and other related security standards
  • Passion for technology

Entry requirements:

  • Level 3 Software apprenticeship
  • OR A-Level in a STEM subject (in Technology and Maths fields only) and successful completion of our Aptitude Test
  • OR BTEC Diploma in IT and successful completion of our Aptitude Test
  • OR two years' experience in a relevant role and successful completion of our Aptitude Test

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Future prospects:

The role can progress to a full-time permanent DevOps Engineer.
