Overview:
We are now looking for an eager candidate to join us as an apprentice.
You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience as you complete a Data Analyst Level 4 Apprenticeship.
Main responsibilities:
- Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
- Document and report the results of data analysis activities making recommendations to improve business
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
- Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
- Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
- Conducting full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design
- Develop analysis and reporting capabilities
- Monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements
Desirable skills, qualities and experience:
- Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc.), databases (SQL etc.), programming (XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks)
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets (Excel, , SAS etc.)
- Strong math and analytical skills
- A methodical, step-by-step approach to analysing and gaining insight
- Attention to detail
- Business skills like effective communication, teamwork and task/time management
- To be able to present data in various forms for a technical and non-technical audience
- Experience with programming languages such as: SQL, Oracle and Python
Entry requirements:
Standard entry:
- Level 3 qualification (apprenticeship/A-levels/BTEC, etc.)
- OR equivalent work experience (typically two years in a relevant role)
Plus:
- 5 GCSEs, including English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above
- Experience with using Excel and Microsoft products (or similar)

Salary:
£18,000 - £20,000 per annum.
