Harper Macleod are currently seeking a Digital Support Apprentice to join their Personal Injury and Reparations team within their Glasgow office. This is a new role, within a team who have supported numerous apprentices. You will be working for an award winning legal firm who are also well renowned for their work with apprentices. They won Apprenticeship Employer of the Year at the annual QA Apprenticeship Awards in both 2023 and 2024.
What you will be doing:
- Using Bighand, you will perform digital dictation and audio typing duties. By the end of your apprenticeship, you will be fully competent in using Bighand
- Act as first point of contact for customers who approach the firm. You will take statements and log the information on Solcase, a case management system where you will become a system expert
- Make calls to third parties on behalf of the team to gather information and documentation. Using iManage, you will input data which will be viewed by solicitors. It is important that you follow compliance and log this information accurately
- Become a superuser of Elite 3E, practice management software. You will use this system to create and issue fee notes
- Actively managing enquiries from social media platforms using a file management system
- Gather information on new claims referred to the department
- Diary management using MS Outlook
- Opening files
You will need the following skills:
- Excellent I.T. and organisational skills including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines under pressure
- Ability to use initiative
- Experience in managing tasks/processes
- Attention to detail and accuracy
Salary:
£19,838 per annum
Working week:
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm

Future prospects:
Should you perform well in this role there is an opportunity for you to take up a permanent position at the end of your qualification. Many of our previous apprentices are still with the company. Future salary will be discussed should you be offered a permanent role.
