Heritage interactive is a digital production management consultancy, creating innovative digital experiences that bring ideas and stories to life, through audio and visual effects. As an IT Support Apprentice, you will be involved with the configuration and support of IP networks and systems, programming, fault finding and resolution.
What you’ll do at work:
Supporting customers such as heritage sites, retail spaces and main contractors, this role is a combination of being office based and carrying out work onsite.
You will be working on:
- Installation and termination of cables
- Installation and commissioning of screens, projectors, control systems, kiosks, amplifiers, matrixes and general audio-visual systems
- System programming
- Fault finding and resolution
- Rack building and dressing
- Configuration and support of IP networks and systems
The position will require installing equipment to various specifications that can range in height, so will be physical at times.
Full training and health and safety requirements will be met.
Projects are carried out on a national basis, so you will at times be required to work away for up to a week, accommodation and meal costs will be covered, alongside car mileage where necessary.
Successful candidates will have:
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Keen willingness to learn new things
- A strong interest in IT and networking
- A driving license
- Previous experience in an IT related field (beneficial)
Entry Requirements:
- 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
- Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
