Overview:

As an apprentice at Barrhead Travel, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our online presence, engaging our audience, and driving traffic to our digital platforms. This apprenticeship opportunity is designed to provide you with hands-on experience and valuable skills in digital systems across out legal and commercial spaces. You will work closely with each of these teams to ensure all first level digital support is provided across all collaborative networks.

Responsibilities:

  • You will become a key digital support staff member, for all staff and clients, working collaboratively across your network. This will include processing standard requests, problem solving to investigate issues, as well as reviewing Nevis functionality in these requests
  • You will become an expert user in Nevis, Excel and Sharepoint. You will have an advanced level of access to reconcile queries, generating reports and provide information requests
  • You will work collaboratively across teams being the first point of contact to support others in the organisation to understand specific features of these packages, and how to use them for record keeping, finance requirements and supplier/ client support
  • You will become proficient in Microsoft Office and Sharepoint. Using this suite, you will contribute to reporting for incoming client files, preparing relevant documentation, generating client specific reports and invoicing
  • You will become a super user in Nevis over the duration of your apprenticeship, leading to an expert level of knowledge which you will be required to share with other end users across the organisation

  • Good foundation knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • High standard of processing and numeracy
  • Strong keyboard skills
  • Excellent communicator at all levels
  • Good team player
  • Previous work experience providing customer service

Salary:

£12,480 per annum for under 18s, £16,770 per annum for 18 and 19 year olds

Working hours:

Monday to Friday, 9am – 5:30pm

Future prospects:

Potential for a permanent role to be offered at the end of the 12 month apprenticeship depending on the position of the department and the attitude of candidate.
