McGlashan MacKay Solicitors are experienced immigration lawyers based in Glasgow, operating across Scotland and are looking for their newest team member to join as an apprenticeship, and it could be you!

The successful candidate will quickly pick up the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in this role and will become a valued member of the team while completing an SCQF Level 6 apprenticeship qualification.

You will learn:

  • How to use Caseload, becoming an expert in this legal case management and legal accounting system
  • Manage client information and tasks using Denovo software
  • To arrange appointments and diary matters using Microsoft Outlook Express and Calendar
  • Save documents via Adobe Acrobat Sign to collaborate digitally with interpreters to sign invoices
  • Learn to use legal aid online and Microsoft Word
  • How to Support management and undertake maintenance of Excel spreadsheets
  • To be the first point of contact by communicating with clients via telephone and email
  • How to liaise with solicitors, paralegals and admin and accounts staff, communicating effectively

Required skills:

  • Confident communicator
  • Organised
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office experience
  • Comfortable working with numbers
  • Willing to learn

Salary:

£20,821 - £21,840 per annum

Working hours:

35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm

Starting with insights into your current potential, they plan your growth in a programmatic way, close skills gaps with immersive training and ensure what you learn is applicable to what you do. They talk you through the specifics on the qualifications you gain and how they align in particular to your day to day role.

On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification at SCQF Level 6.
