Overview:
Our boutique digital agency is currently seeking a budding Junior Front-End Website Developer (WordPress)! This role is suitable for a passionate self-taught hobbyist or a school leaver looking to get into the industry - it's all about both attitude and aptitude!
The Role / Duties:
- Front-end website development including, writing and editing HTML, CSS, Javascript and Wordpress.
- Supporting customers with technical issues and de-bugging websites.
- Setting up and configuring email accounts.
- Advising on technical queries, questions and problem solving technical and code issues.
Website optimization.
- Working with spreadsheets.
- Supporting the wider team.
Desirable Skills and Personal Qualities:
- Passion for IT and everything in tech.
- Self-taught coding skills in HTML, CSS and Javascript.
- Interested in the latest web technologies and keeping up to date with industry best practice.
- Some understanding of website platforms.
- Communication and problem solving skills.
- Eager to learn, self-motivated and driven.
Entry requirements: 7 GCSE's total:
- English GCSE grade D or above
- Other 6 GCSEs, including Maths, to be C or above
- You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship in a similar subject
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
