Magtia Ltd is a dynamic company providing professional off-site financial market data services for investment banks. We are a small international business, and the successful candidate will join its team of 15 people based across 5 countries in North America and Europe.
Overview:
We are looking for a candidate to join our team of data analysts. The successful candidate will be required to work on strategic projects while providing continued first and second line support for our clients. Part of a small and friendly team, you will be mainly working from home and trained and supervised by your line manager in Edinburgh with regular in-person/on-line 1-1 coaching sessions.
You will receive training on the systems and financial markets, so no prior knowledge is required, however good numerate skills, knowledge of MS Excel, and ability to learn quickly are key. The most essential qualities we require are self-motivation, thoroughness and a sharp analytical mind
Responsibilities:
- Gain and utilize an in-depth knowledge of financial instruments and their symbology to assist in the implementation of client projects
- Assist in maintaining and adding to the database of OTC instruments in response to client requests
- Work on a new project to discover and establish symbology rules across the vast OTC data set
- Respond to support tickets raised by clients
- Join daily/weekly team calls
Required skills:
- Able to deal effectively with the customer to deliver a professional service
- Experience with MS Excel
- Experience and understanding of databases
- Demonstrated team player with the ability to work autonomously and without supervision if required
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Self-assured and confident with professional approach
- You should have a passion for technology and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and processes
Salary:
£18,500 per annum
Working hours:
Remote working, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
