Overview:
We are now looking for an eager candidate to join us as an apprentice. 
This role sits within the central IT Business Analysis team with a primary focus on digital delivery changes.

As a Junior Business Analyst Apprentice, you will have an inquisitive and curious mind, wanting to get to and understand the root cause of issues and problems.
You will act as a critical friend, collaborating with and enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions based on sound analysis.

Salary: £25,500 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake analysis to understand how a business area works, considering the people, organisation, processes, information, data and technology.
  • Identify and elaborate user and business needs to enable effective design, development, and business change.
  • Ensure new solutions and services meet business and user needs and are aligned with organisational goals.
  • Understand any business and policy constraints that need to be considered and assess the implications.
  • Identify areas for improvement, explore feasible options, analyse the effects of change, and define success measures.
  • Take ownership for improving your own knowledge of business analysis, methods and tools and play an active role within the BA practice and wider community in sharing knowledge and supporting other members.

Other duties include:

  • You will support the translation of the business's needs to provide the best value outcome for AVEVA, ensuring alignment to strategic and tactical aims.
  • You will work within the Business Analysis Service Framework to deliver a range of services that support the business in IT enabled change.

You will also be encouraged to help support the continual progression of the Business Analysis Service, acting as a champion for it, fostering new relationships to build and grow its use and suggesting new ways of working to ensure it remains aligned to the needs of the business.

What we are looking for:
Essential skills / experience: 

  1. Business analysis: You need to be able to identify, investigate, analyse and communicate complex business problems and opportunities.
  2. Stakeholder relationship management: You need to be able to identify, analyse, manage and monitor relationships with and between internal and external stakeholders. 
  3. Business process improvement: You need to be able to provide distinct task-based outputs, working under direction to support the design and implementation of process improvements and efficiencies to business operations and services.
  4. Experience of collaborative working: You can show an awareness of the need to translate technical concepts into non-technical language. Understand what communication is required with internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Community Collaboration: You can understand the work of others and the importance of team dynamics, collaboration, and feedback. Support activities that ensure collaboration between stakeholders and stakeholder groups.
  6. Organisation and Time Management: You can organise and manage your time effectively to deliver to deadlines. Plan elements of a project
  7. Personal Development: You have an awareness of your own strengths and weaknesses and contributes to identifying own development opportunities.

Entry requirements:

  • Level 3 Qualification + at least 12 months of work experience* + robust onboarding plan (learner must work in the organisation for 3 months before signing up)
  • OR business-related degree eg business, finance, economics, maths, etc.
  • OR non-business-related degree + at least 6 months of work experience*
  • OR existing staff member with 2+ years of work experience**

*Work experience relates to any valid work experience
**Existing staff work experience should not be in a business analyst role

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
