As an Apprentice HR Assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in our HR Department.  This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated school leaver to gain valuable experience in a professional environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. HR System Management:
    • Learn and take ownership of our HR system.
    • Update staff records (address changes, contract variations, benefits).
    • Maintain accurate data and track training sessions.
    • Monitor absences and follow Absence Management Procedures.
  2. Recruitment Support:
    • Post job vacancies on our recruitment site and external platforms.
    • Assist applicants throughout the recruitment process.
    • Coordinate interviews and handle paperwork.
    • Keep applicants informed about their application status.
  3. HR Files Archiving Project:
    • Contribute to the transition from paper to electronic files.
    • Maintain accurate records of active and inactive staff files.
  4. Budget Management:
    • Record invoices in the HR Budget spreadsheet.
    • Ensure timely communication with the accounts team.

Personal qualities:

  • Effective communicator (both written and verbal).
  • Proactive learner with attention to detail.
  • Discreet and respectful of confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrate strong IT skills (Microsoft Office).

Additional information:

  • Salary: £15,000 per annum
  • Working Hours: 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm)
