Are you looking to begin your career in a fast paced and exciting office environment?

SW Global are looking to bring on a new apprentice to join their growing and successful team. They have had a lot of success with apprentices in the last years and are looking to replicate this by bringing on another apprentice to grow within the business as well. Many of the apprentices they have taken on across multiple disciplines have progressed within the business so it is an excellent company to grow with.

What will I be doing?

  • Acting as first POC on Vodafone switch board to take calls from operatives and transfer them to the relevant people to answer their queries
  • Use of Network Rail’s database which is called Sentinel to organise training and book people onto these courses as well as then reporting who has attended for invoicing.
  • Using Microsoft Office packages such as Excel to report on training schedules, Outlook for sending these via email to colleagues and Microsoft Teams to communicate with internal and external colleagues
  • Becoming a system expert on The Global Train online portal to input details for training courses, attendees, and note costs for invoicing
  • Managing diaries and scheduling appointments
  • Processing invoices on Sage
  • Storing, retrieving and archiving of information

  • Desire and willingness to expand on knowledge on internal systems
  • Ability to work well both individually, and as part of team
  • Good timekeeping
  • A strong work ethic
  • Strong communication skills
  • Confident in speaking to others

Salary:

£13,500 per annum

Working hours:

Monday to Thursday, 9am – 5pm, Friday 9am – 3:45pm

On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification at SCQF Level 6.
