Overview:

As a Digital Office Support Apprentice, you will be responsible for providing support to various teams, clients and departments. This role will involve assisting with various tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of day-to-day operations.

Duties will include:

  • You will become a superuser in assisting with data entry and analysis tasks, including inputting data into databases, and generating reports such as billability, utilisation and expenses via Microsoft Excel
  • Coordinate meetings, appointments for department members. You will have access to employees’ diaries and calendars via Microsoft Outlook and Teams
  • Making travel arrangements for business stakeholders and will become an expert in using the internal travel system
  • Providing first line support to assist with customer inquiries via telephone and email, problem solving any issues that may arise and escalating to management when needed
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders in multiple departments to support process improvement initiatives by participating in the review and optimization of operational processes
  • Draft and proofread correspondence, memos, and other documents as when requested by using Microsoft Word
  • Provide support for various projects within the departments, including research and data collection

Desirable skills:

  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

Salary:

£18,000 per annum

Working hours:

Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm

This vocational apprenticeship comprehensively supports your specific job role with this particular employer.  Throughout your learning journey, you are fully supported by your dedicated QA skills coach and your mentor at work.  They ensure you settle in, help you develop all the skills you need to be successful in your job role and pass your assessments, and can provide one to one support.

Starting with insights into your current potential, they plan your growth in a programmatic way, close skills gaps with immersive training and ensure what you learn is applicable to what you do. They talk you through the specifics on the qualifications you gain and how they align in particular to your day to day role.

On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification at SCQF Level 6.
