Overview: 
We are now looking for an eager candidate to join us as an apprentice. 
You will provide a wide range of front line technical support to staff and students at all levels, throughout The Academy Trust. Primarily based at Riddlesdown Collegiate and The Quest Academy, with some work taking place in our other schools.

Duties: 

  • You will be assisting in most aspects of first level software, hardware and Windows network support.
  • You will be expected to have a flexible approach to problem solving, taking initiative and providing excellent customer service.
  • Rotating between Riddlesdown Collegiate, The Quest Academy and Woodcote High School.

Occasional travel to primary schools in Selsdon and Crawley will be required too. 

Skills required: 

  • Good communications skills
  • Good knowledge of Windows 10, Office 365 
  • Experience with Active Directory and knowledge of DNS and DHCP 

Personal qualities:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills - diagnostic and problem solving

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Future prospects:
90% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship.
