The Company:
Trusted IT is a well-established IT Services and Support company focusing on Microsoft technologies for small and medium businesses. 
Trusted IT supply out sourced IT support to a large client base, both in the UK and internationally.

Overview: 
There is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to develop their career in IT, working as 1st/2nd line support engineer for an IT Services and Support Company based in Whaley Bridge.

This is an excellent opportunity, offering any candidate the opportunity to work in a highly technical environment, using the latest technologies where you can bounce ideas off the other technicians in the team.

Duties: 

  • Providing 1st, and 2nd line technical support queries professionally and efficiently, maintaining a high degree of customer service
  • Taking ownership of user problems, performing technical diagnosis and fixing issues remotely or scheduling for an on-site engineer
  • Documenting calls on the call ticketing system
  • Following standard help desk procedures & processes

What we are looking for: 
Key skills and knowledge: 

  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly organised with strong planning and prioritising skills
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures paying attention to detail
  • Experience of deployment / admin of Microsoft Office 365 and Azure
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems (Server 2012,2016,2019 and desktop etc) and Microsoft desktop applications
  • Experience in Active Directory (AD) and user account changes
  • Proficiency in administering & supporting Microsoft Exchange products

Desired skills / experience to have: [not essential]

  • 3 or more years experience of delivering IT support
  • Microsoft MCTS qualifications or equivalent
  • Knowledge of SQL Server & IIS Server
  • Linux O/S
  • Programming skills

Driving Licence - highly beneficial, but not essential to the position.

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject 
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above) 
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
