The Company was established in 2009 and is a start-up business. 
The purpose of the Company is to provide infrastructure services to the private sector, notably:

  • Facilities Services
  • Information Technology and Communication Services
  • Property Services
  • Energy Management

Overview:
We are now looking for an eager candidate to join us as an apprentice. 

You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience as you complete an IT systems and networking - Azure Cloud Support Specialist - Level 3 Apprenticeship. 
You will continually look for ways to improve/enhance the way that FISco use technology and suggest improvements to the senior management team at management meetings.

Duties: [will include, but not be limited to:] 

  • Provide IT support for any software/hardware issues that arise 
  • Provide IT support for any phone/network issues that arise 
  • Setup new joiners with a laptop/desktop/phone and any peripherals as necessary 
  • Perform leaver process when employees leave, as per IT leaver process 
  • Ensure Windows updates are applied to all in house servers at a time agreed with management to cause the least amount of disruption 
  • Setup new users on CIMS/Taskye (FISco in house Facilities Management system) 
  • Change/configure user access/approvals on Taskye following official email requests 
  • Liaise with 3rd party IT support company about any IT issues that need escalating (they predominantly look after the server/network infrastructure, but have admin access to login remotely and look at desktop support issues also) 

Desirable skills: 

  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel) 
  • Proactive, analytical and logical thinker 
  • Strong commercial skills coupled with excellent communication skills 
  • Accurate / able to use detailed spread sheets

  • Self-motivating and enthusiastic team player 
  • Flexible and hard working 
  • Willing to be involved in all aspects of the business 
  • Innovative, imaginative and able to use initiative 
  • Able to grow and develop with the Business 

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working week:
Monday – Friday,
8:30am - 5:30pm (40hrs a week) 

Salary:
£14,000 per annum.

Future prospects:
90% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship.
