Overview of the role:
We are hiring apprentices to join our DLA Piper Service Delivery team based in the Leeds Office. The Service delivery team focuses on process improvement improving processes, increasing profitability and providing solutions for internal teams and clients.

As a Service Delivery Degree Apprentice, you will complete a Level 6 Project Manager apprenticeship starting in September 2023. This takes approximately 3.5 - 4 years to complete. This will offer you the opportunity to become a project management professional with a recognised qualification and accreditation from a certification body.

You will be responsible for:
During your time with us you will complete four, 9 to 12 months long rotations in a number of departments and study for the fully funded BSc qualification in Project Management.

The departments you can expect to spend time in are:

  • The Legal Project Management Team – Assists in the planning, coordinating and structuring of large deals
  • The Legal Technology Team – Sources, introduces and drives new innovative technology across all practice groups internationally
  • The Legal Delivery Centre - Leverages IT tools and works to add efficiencies, reduce costs and improve the firm’s ability to meet clients expectations
  • The Business Improvement Team – Facilitates and implements large scale business performance improvements that have a tangible and positive impact on the service that DLA Piper delivers to clients
  • The Resource Management Team – Supports allocation of resources to promote fair access to work to deliver diverse and engaging work portfolios internally

Entry requirements:

  • 120 UCAS Tariff points
  • English Language GCSE at Grade C (4+)

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working week:
37.5 hours per week.

Future prospects:
Finally, towards the end of your final rotation and successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will be considered to join one of the above-mentioned teams on a full-time basis. This is based on your performance and results. We will work with you closely to help you achieve your ambitions during your apprenticeship and beyond.

QA’s apprenticeships are funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), an executive agency of the Department for Education. To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
