Employer description: 
Techs4Education provide IT support and consultancy to a number of primary and secondary schools across the south of England. Our aim is to become part of the school to ensure teaching and learning outputs are enhanced through technology.

Overview:
We are now looking for an eager candidate to join us as an apprentice. 

You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience as you complete an IT systems and networking - Azure Cloud Support Specialist - Level 3 Apprenticeship. 

Salary:
£15,000 per annum. 

Main role / Responsibilities [will include but not be limited to]: 

  • Providing 1st line support to the school 
  • PC builds, password resets, hardware replacements are among the wide range of experience the apprentice will get in this role 
  • Larger projects also take place during the holidays and the apprentice will support the senior engineers in the delivery of these projects 

What we are looking for: 
Desirable skills: 

  • Basic knowledge of laptop/desktop hardware 
  • Basic knowledge of Windows 10 Operating systems 
  • Communication 
  • Customer service 
  • Troubleshooting 

Personal qualities: 

  • Passion to learn

  • Team player 
  • Likes to tinker with computers (helps friends and family with IT etc..)

Entry requirements: 

  • 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject 
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above) 
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject 

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working week:
8am - 4.30pm, occasionally 4pm,
Monday to Friday,
37.5 hours per week.

Future prospects:
90% of QA Apprentices secure full-time employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.
