An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Apprentice IT Support Apprentice to join Peter Vardy. This will be a 1-year apprenticeship where the successful applicant will work towards a Diploma with QA, receiving support and mentoring throughout the placement. 

Overview:
As an apprentice you will help with the 1st line IT Support for customers as well as learning about the products and services Peter Vardy provide. 
It is a busy role that will require attention to detail but is important to the success of the whole team. 
The existing IT team will also be available to provide you with support and guidance as you learn your role and become more confident.

Salary:
£16,000 per annum.

What's involved?

Duties:
The apprentice will become a member of the technical IT team and will:

  • Be nswering and logging IT Support calls from users
  • Provide 1st Line support to our users
  • Provide excellent customer service both verbal and written to end users.
  • Keep users up to date on progress of their calls
  • Problem solve issues based on the information you have been given.
  • Resolve IT queries efficiently, accurately and record information
  • Be involved in configuration and installation of IT Hardware (Desktops, Laptops, Printers, Switches etc.)
  • Work on their own initiative as well as part of a team

Firstly, candidates should be able to demonstrate a strong passion for IT and a desire to establish themselves within the company.
Secondly, candidates would also be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and an understanding of how important an IT role plays in the achieving of companywide goals.

Working week:
40hrs a week.
