What's involved?

As a member of the help desk, you pick up skills you will carry with you throughout your career. Working full time, you support the business with administrative duties, all while earning a Diploma in Digital Applications Support and your PC Passport. On the job training on our software packages will ensure you are prepared for your duties which include:

  • First point of contact for incoming communications, using Microsoft Teams, Outlook and Freshdesk to process enquiries and resolve concerns
  • Log helpdesk queries on our client’s management system, Pronett
  • Plan engineer attendance and track maintenance via QTRBCK, Computerised Maintenance
  • Ensure contractors are aware of outstanding issues and are dealing with them in a timely manner
  • Ensure clients are updated with progress of works
  • Escalate any issues where engineers have failed to respond within contract timescales
  • Assist with producing quotations
  • Process reports for engineers, highlighting working hours and material

Important information:

Throughout your apprenticeship you are supported by your skills coach and your account manager. They work with your line manager to ensure you settle in, help you develop all the skills you need to pass your assessments, and can provide one to one support.

At the end, as well as the valuable experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification.
