For this role, you will be located in either our office's in Bristol, Newcastle, Nottingham or Leeds -- depending on your location.

Your role will be to: 

  • Manage and maintain the integrity of People Data within DVSA, specifically as stored on the SAP system. 
  • Run regular reports for internal and external stakeholders, including statutory reports, from all available People Data Sources. 
  • Provide support to colleagues within DVSA by presenting People Data in user-friendly ways.

This post will be offered as a Level 4 Data Analysis Apprenticeship. 

The role combines learning and practical on the job training. At the end of it all, you'll have a level 4 qualification in Data Analysis. You’ll be fully supported to meet the learning requirements of the qualification. 

The apprenticeship will be delivered by QA.

You’ll need to be highly motivated, but we’ll help you balance your work and studies, better still, you will enjoy a host of great benefits. 

To be eligible for this apprenticeship, you must: 

  • Be aged 18 or over
  • Have a Level 3 qualification (A level/BTEC or equivalent qualification) or equivalent work experience (2 years in a relevant role including analysis activity)

Entry criteria:

  • Have 5 GCSE's grade A-C/ Level 4-7 including Maths and English 
  • Have the right work in the UK
  • Not be in full-time education
  • Not be in receipt of funding for other learning programmes at the point of enrolment for this apprenticeship
  • Have valid and eligible residency status and be resident in the UK for 3 years before the start of the apprenticeship.

If you currently hold or are working towards a similar qualification of the same level or higher, then you will not be eligible to apply for this vacancy. In order to be eligible for our apprenticeship vacancy, any qualifications previously held or currently being worked towards must differ in content so that this apprenticeship provides substantial new skills.

Responsibilities: [include, but are not limited to]

  • Create and manipulate reports on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
  • Collate and analyse people data, provide information and reports (including statutory reports) to Senior Leaders, Directors and external stakeholders such as DfT and CO on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
  • Respond to HR related Parliamentary Questions & Freedom of Information enquiries.
  • Maintain and monitor the integrity and accuracy of data on HR systems.
  • Execute management behaviours effectively in line with DVSA policies and processes, including planning and coordinating tasks and activities and ensuring objectives are delivered.
