Our client is a world leader in private equity and credit with $75 billion of assets under management, $123 billion of funds committed and a global network of 24 local offices: 15 across Europe and the Americas and nine in the Asia Pacific region. The majority owned by its employees and led by its Managing Partners. 

Overview:
They are now looking for an eager candidate to join them as an apprentice. 

You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience as you complete an IT systems and networking - Azure Cloud Support Specialist - Level 3 Apprenticeship. 

Salary: £24,000 - £28,000 per annum. 

Duties: 

  • Application testing
  • Assisting with evaluating new technologies
  • Connecting meetings and Video-conferences
  • Desk and office moves
  • Installing and configuring desktops/laptops using SCCM and Intune
  • Provisioning iPhones using MDM technologies (MobileIron/Intune)
  • Maintaining asset and hardware inventories
  • Windows 11 Upgrade

Once the successful candidate has reached the appropriate level of proficiency: 

  • Diagnosing and solving hardware and software faults
  • Ensuring all backup procedures are adhered to and logs are checked for conflicts
  • Maintaining Active Directory in a Windows Server Environment
  • Providing support to all remote offices
  • Resolving client issues, either face to face, over the phone or using remote access tools provided
  • Reviewing audit and deployment logs
  • Supporting the roll out of new applications and technologies
  • Setting up new user accounts in a Windows and Citrix environment
  • Troubleshooting system and network problems
  • Updating ServiceNow KB articles

Desired skills and Personal qualities: 

  • Able to work alone and under pressure
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve problems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems
  • Prior exposure to Group Policy would be beneficial, but it not essential
  • Attention to detail
  • Keen to learn with a passion for IT
  • Self-motivated, with a “can do” attitude

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Future prospects: 
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there is a possibility of gaining full time employment.
