Bowker IT is a well-established North-West based company with ambitious growth plans and is recruiting in order to support this.

Overview: 

QA Ltd have partnered with Bowker IT to assist with the recruitment and training of a L3 IT Apprentice to join their helpdesk / expanding team based in Morecambe. 

Salary:

£17,000 - £20,000 per annum. --- dependent on experience.

Main responsibilities:

  • Working with and supporting the team.
  • Provide first line helpdesk support to customers. 
  • To accurately diagnose software and hardware faults and to be able to resolve a large proportion of client problems via remote networking and client site visits. 
  • Provide a high standard of customer care to clients, ensuring their problems are dealt with efficiently, maintaining contact and keeping clients informed of progress. 
  • Handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Implementation and provide ongoing support for SME and the Education sectors infrastructure solutions.
  • In addition, you may be called upon to do other duties as demand occurs. 

Progression within the role:

The successful candidate will:

  • Develop into working on projects.
  • Visit customer sites.
  • Be an integral part of the IT function.

Entry requirements:

The entry requirements for this Azure Cloud Support Specialist programme are as follows:

  • 3 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject 

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working week:

40 hours a week.
