Who you’ll be working for:

You will complete an SCQF level 6 in Digital Applications Support as part of the apprenticeship and full training will be given.

Duties:
You will be responsible for:

  • Inputting holidays and absences into HR system
  • Learning how to use systems such as Sage HR and Sage50 
  • Collating hours for payroll
  • Running reports from various systems
  • Wide use of Microsoft Office Package to complete daily tasks
  • Assisting with audit checks, stock reports and sales invoicing
  • Organising meetings and managing calendars for meeting rooms as required
  • Answering the phones and door as required
  • Learning and developing your business skills

What we are looking for:
You will need the following skills:

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages such as Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and individually when required
  • Professional approach towards all aspects of work
  • Good time management, planning and organisational skills

Working week:

36 hours per week,

  • Monday – Thursday,
  • 8am – 5pm initially then 7am - 5pm (4 day working week)

Future prospects:
92% of QA Apprentices secure full-time employment after finishing their apprenticeship. 
Additionally there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.

QA’s apprenticeships are funded by the Skills Development Scotland agency. 
To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
