Who you’ll be working for:

Kings Court Trust specialise in providing probate and estate administration services to people all across the UK. We will take care of all the complicated matters after death so you can focus on life's important moments.

The Data Analyst Apprentice will maintain existing reports and build new reports to provide analysis and insights to the management team, as well as be responsible for developing our case management system, to improve the efficiency and productiveness for our colleagues.  There will be training and support provided for those who haven't yet dabbled in the world of development.

You will be responsible for:

  • Producing reports and dashboards to help colleagues monitor, control and inform decisions that improve business performance
  • Working closely across the business to provide both proactive and requested reporting to provide insight for business reviews, governance and delivery against KPIs
  • Helping identify remedial action and ways to improve the quality of the data
  • Developing a good understanding of source data, documenting this and improving data management over time
  • Learning how the case management system works so that business needs can be translated into system changes
  • Bridging the gap between business requirements and technical specifications
  • Writing code, very similar to SQL syntax, to develop the case management system

You will need the following skills:

  • Advanced Excel with minimum 1 year analytical experience
  • SQL with a minimum 1 year experience
  • High attention to detail and able to pick up new information quickly
  • Strong communication skills, able to build good interpersonal relationships
  • Database and coding experience (desirable but not essential)

Entry requirements:

Standard entry:

  • Level 3 qualification (apprenticeship/A-levels/BTEC, etc)
  • OR equivalent work experience (typically two years in a relevant role)

Plus:

  • 5 GCSEs, including English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above
  • Experience with using Excel and Microsoft products (or similar)

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working week:

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm with 30 minutes for lunch

Future prospects:

The apprentice may be offered full time employment after the apprenticeship if they are the right fit for one another, progression onto higher apprenticeship level is also possible.
