The Scottish Midland Cooperative have an exciting opportunity for an apprenticeship within their Invoice team based at our Head Office in Newbridge.

Working for the Invoice Team is a superb learning opportunity for someone who would like to gain a variety of experience in a finance setting, while gaining an industry recognised qualification.

The apprenticeship will involve on the job training, education (through work-based learning) as well as the opportunity to demonstrate independent work skills and team working.

The Scottish Midland Co-operative have a successful past working with apprentices, encouraging each individual to stay on and progress within the company after completion.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilising the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
  • Processing and payment of invoices using internal systems 
  • Dealing with insurance claims
  • Branch charging 
  • General administration duties including mail, photocopying and filing 
  • Utilise collaborative technologies to communicate with internal/external stakeholders 

 Required Skills:

  • A sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • High attention to detail and an orderly approach to processing
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Confident and enthusiastic

Additional Information:

  • Fixed term – 12 months
  • Working Hours – 37.5 per week, worked Monday to Friday.
  • Core business hours are 8.30am – 5.00pm.
