We are low looking to hire an IT Apprentice. 

You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience as you complete an IT systems and networking - Azure Cloud Support Specialist - Level 3 Apprenticeship.

Main responsibilities:

  • Provide IT support to HCML staff, suppliers and customers based in our Croydon, Manchester and Bristol offices, client sites and from home.
  • Diagnose and report or resolve network, hardware and software issues within helpdesk SLAs
  • Maintain and update the HCML helpdesk system, ensuring timely resolution of tickets.
  • Support Teams Room Systems and meeting room AV systems
  • Maintain and support HCML’s IT infrastructure including on premise, hosted and cloud services
  • Support the use of mobile devices and HCML’s BYOD policy

Facilities and Equipment:

  • Liaise with external suppliers and the office manager to report facilities and building issues
  • Resolve basic internal facilities requests (e.g. access control, copier maintenance, lightbulbs etc)
  • Configure and update hardware for new and existing staff.

IT Administration:

  • Maintain and update the IT asset registers for hardware, software and devices
  • Support the joiners / movers / leavers process, creating, updating and disabling accounts as appropriate in Active Directory and Azure/Office 365
  • Manage customer portal accounts including account creation/removal, queries and password resets

HCML Citizen:

  • Undertake any other duties required, commensurate with the grade & level of authority of the post.
  • Proactively identify, share & implement ways HCML can continuously improve as a business & employer.
  • Demonstrate and champion behaviours and attitudes consistent with HCML values.
  • Abide by the HCML policies and procedures in force and remain up-to-date with any changes that may apply from time to time.

  • Windows 7, 10
  • Server 2012-2019
  • Office 2010-2019
  • PC hardware
  • Office 365 Administration

Essential:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office

Entry requirements:

The entry requirements for this Azure Cloud Support Specialist programme are as follows:

  • 3 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject 

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme. 

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Salary: 

£15,000 per annum. 

Future prospects: 

Once you have successfuly completed the apprenticeship, their is potentially a full employment contract and further development.
