NASA Group is a group of 3 fast-growing business and successful businesses based in central Bristol. Presently the group employs c. 85 staff most of whom operate at our Castlemead office (with some remote working/field based or based on our Polish office). The group provides professional contractor services (NASA) and energy management consultancy (ESOS). 

Overview:

An opportunity has arisen for a candidate to join the group’s IT department and work alongside the Head of IT to support the company’s IT systems and processes

The Desktop Support Engineer’s role is to support the Head of IT in maintaining and develop the NASA IT infrastructure and to ensure the stable operation of the organisation’s IT Systems which is critical for high business performance. 

Duties:

  • The successful candidate will support the IT Manager who is responsible for the internal network and core server infrastructure, server/data & systems security, web hosting & domain management, device management and predominantly user support.
  • The successful candidate will be required to work closely with our external IT support partner as well as our Telecoms system provider.
  • The successful candidate will be expected to be personable, and both integrate and work well with all teams within the group, as well as working with external suppliers on certain systems.

Entry requirements:

The entry requirements for this Cloud Network Specialist programme are as follows:

  • 3 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject 

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme. 

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
