Youth Scotland, Scotland’s national charity for the support and delivery of community-based youth work, would love you to come and join our dynamic team!

We are at an exciting stage in our organisational development with a growing membership of youth groups and plans in place for significant growth in our support for youth work, youth groups and young people. This post will support our member groups and play a key role in administering our membership renewals and small grant schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a first point of contact within Youth Scotland for enquiries from member groups and those wishing to become members
  • Operate our CRM membership system and take a lead role in processing membership applications and renewals
  • Ensure membership payments are kept up to date
  • Compile membership reports and collate statistics as required using Microsoft Excel
  • Operate systems in support of membership services, such as small grants schemes and user surveys
  • Learn how to use the Event Bright system to manage Youth Scotland events
  • Provide general administrative support to Youth Scotland staff in supporting member groups through collaborative technologies. 
  • Carry out reception duties, including answering the telephone and meeting and greeting visitors (when in office)
  • Use Microsoft Outlook on a daily basis to communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Attend and take minutes at staff meetings and other meetings as required
  • Assist in quality control within organisation to maintain high standards against customer service and membership support. 

Desirable Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Good organisation skills with an ability to prioritise tasks
  • Ability to plan, use initiative and make decisions. 
  • Flexible approach to work

Benefits:

  • Salary: £11,942 - £12,773 per annum
  • Hours: Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm
  • Automatic pension enrolment
  • Youth Scotland has a generous public holiday entitlement of 37 days (25 Annual Leave increasing by 1 day each year up to 30 days and 12 Public Holidays)
