Overview:

Our client are now looking for an eager candidate to join us them an apprentice.  

You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience as you complete an IT systems and networking - Azure Cloud Support Specialist - Level 3 Apprenticeship. 

The Role:

You will work as part of the IT Infrastructure team and report to the IT Infrastructure Manager.

This is a great opportunity for an individual with a keen interest in IT looking to start a career in the IT industry.

As the outward facing contact of the IT team, provide globally excellent support to all areas of business, inspiring confidence in the central service provided. 

Principle Responsibilities:

The principal responsibilities are as follows:

  • Offer 1st line support and solve or escalate problems correctly
  • Providing a friendly and helpful first point of contact for company's user base
  • Install and configure end-user software and hardware
  • Setup new computers for employees
  • Perform preventative maintenance of workstations, printers, and peripherals
  • Supporting remote sites and international partners as needed
  • Work closely with the existing IT team to ensure the efficient delivery of the IT function, to an equal excellent standard across the Group
  • Assist the Infrastructure team with projects including server and network upgrades
  • Provide on-call weekend support, on a rota basis with other IT staff

Entry requirements:

The entry requirements for this Azure Cloud Support Specialist programme are as follows:

  • 3 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject 

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme. 

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Salary:

£19,760 per annum.

Future prospects:

92% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally, there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.
