Overview: 

You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience as you complete an IT - Azure Cloud Support Specialist Level 3 Apprenticeship. 

Responsibilities: [will involve dealing with the following:]

  • Internal customer management
  • Be an Incident manager
  • Liaison with vendors
  • Monitoring and management of servers
  • E2E process owner for disaster recovery of applications
  • Take an active role in resolving service requests and incidents
  • Critical analysis of new issues as well as identifying recovery plan and follow up underlying root cause
  • Prioritise and ensure timely resolution of requests within contractual SLA
  • Drive automation and process improvements
  • Enhance end user experience
  • Risk management and governance
  • Support the senior management group in delivering join goals
  • Support/complete audit and client walkthrough’s of controls and processes 

What we are looking for:

Essential skills:

  • Ideally experience within the financial services industry
  • 2-3 years working within an application support role or business technical role 
  • Fantastic client-facing communication skills
  • A mind set to always understand root cause and fix the underlying problems
  • A passion for Continual Service Improvement
  • Ability to stay calm in a crisis and thrive in a high-pressure environment
  • A “can do” attitude 

Entry requirements:

The entry requirements for this Azure Cloud Support Specialist programme are as follows:

  • 3 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject 

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme. 

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Salary: 

£22,000 per annum. 

Future prospects:

92% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally, there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going dvelopment tracks.
