Extrordinair is looking for a budding candidate to join its Animal Receiving Team in Edinburgh. The role will work within the Animal Receiving Team of our Operations department at our Edinburgh Airport facility, liaising with clients, suppliers, providing quotes and supporting the day to day activity of our busy Animal Team. They will help contribute to excellent performance and positive levels of customer feedback, and champion company values at all times.

*No Alligators will be handled during this job!* 

9am - 5:30pm

What's Involved? 

  • Export – supporting key documentation and processing for animal export shipments using
    Boxtop
  • Import – coordination with key stakeholders and customers to support the animal import shipments via Outlook. 
  • Utilizing Microsoft Excel to ensure documentation and all animal administration is correct, accurate, up to date and maintained to high standards
  • To deliver excellent customer service
  • Support servicing, maintenance and cleaning of the travel kennels and our kennel facilities.
  • Support the development of a ‘can do’ working culture with a customer driven mentality
  • Establish a strong theme of continuous improvement and service excellence across the operation
  • Champion the company values at all times. 

What do I need? 

  • Animal Lover – your Animal Receiving Centre sees a lot of animals fly in and out of Edinburgh (predominately domestic cats and dogs). 
  • Compassionate towards animal well-being, health and safety.
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively under pressure
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume office environment, must be self-motivated

You will receive an SCQF level 6 in Digitial Applications as well an opportunity to progress within the expanding animal team on Apprenticeship completion.
