Who you’ll be working for:

Systems for Dentists are a growing Newcastle tech company of approaching 50 staff. They are looking for an IT Support Technician Apprentice as part of its ongoing and future plans.

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting customers with hardware and software issues using phone, email and ticketing system as appropriate
  • Proactively supporting customers, identifying and fixing problems before they know a problem exists
  • Working with other departments such as Sales, Training, Implementation and Development to ensure current and new customers become and remain big fans of the company
  • Meeting and exceeding customer expectations through clear, challenging but achievable targets and KPI’s

You will need the following skills:

  • You put the customer at the heart of everything you do
  • You have a strong interest in IT & Tech and a willingness to learn
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same
  • You have great communication skills in order to provide excellent customer service
  • You enjoy working in a close-knit team sharing knowledge but equally keen to take ownership and work individually
  • You manage your time effectively, manage expectations and communicate effectively
  • You aren’t afraid to ask for help when needed and also offer help to colleagues, sharing your knowledge and experience

The following experience is beneficial, but not essential:

  • Experience dealing with customers and a perhaps an interest in technology such as gaming
  • An interest in software development

Entry requirements:

The entry requirements for this Azure Cloud Support Specialist programme are as follows:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Future prospects:

92% of QA Apprentices secure full-time employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.
