We are a Bath-based business that was established in 2015 and are looking to expand the team as we are taking on a record number of clients. Our new home is Newark Works which is a fresh and vibrant destination at the heart of the fast-evolving Bath Quays business district.

Overview:

Do you have a passion for working with data and the latest technologies? We are looking for a Data Technician Apprentice to work with our amazing team and help stakeholders understand data through exploration. Working in a supportive environment you will learn from the very best to deliver data projects of all sizes and flavours.

The Role:

Daily roles and responsibilities: [in order of importance:]

  • Undertaking data collection from multiple sources to generate relevant data for analysis
  • You will build and maintain secure and compliant data processing pipelines using various technologies like Excel, SSIS and Azure Data Factory
  • Maintaining databases and data systems, as well as identifying new process improvement
  • Designing and implementing data storage, develop data processing and implement data security
  • Working under tight schedules, prioritising multiple tasks and assignments
  • Undertaking in-depth research and presenting findings clearly via reports and presentation

Entry requirements:

The entry requirements for this programme are as follows:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject 

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme. 

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Future prospects: 

Apprentices are offered secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. 

Additionally, there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.
