Overview:

The IT Asset Management Renewals Analyst – Level 3 Data Essentials Apprentice will play an important role in the delivery of SCC’s Software Asset Management (SAM) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) services to our clients, combining project delivery and administrative support within the Cloud & Software Lifecycle (CSL) Service Delivery Team.

This role provides support to the CSL Team, assisting in delivery of SCC’s hosted Snow Software SAM/ITAM Solution and identification of saving opportunities for our customers.

Duties:

You will be responsible for:

  • Setting up new customers within the delivery management system
  • Data uploads to SAM portal
  • Report extraction and delivery to customers
  • Responding to customer requests via telephone and email, within contractual SLAs
  • Working with external suppliers and internal departments
  • Providing other administrative support as required
  • Adhering to strict deadlines and priorities’ where required.
  • Working towards obtaining licensing vendor certifications as required e.g. Microsoft
  • The IT Asset Management Renewals Analyst - L3 Data Essentials Apprentice is required to attend multiple training sessions delivered by Snow Software, online or at Snow Software’s UK office, as well as in-house training and development.

Upon completion of training and personal development, this role will be responsible for delivering first line technical support (via telephone, email and web conferencing) with escalation to second line support within Civica and Snow as required.

What we are looking for:

You will need the following skills:

  • Computer literate
  • Worked in an office environment previously
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, with good Excel skills
  • Numerate
  • Analytical mind
  • Hardworking team player, whilst also able to work autonomously
  • Articulate
  • Attention to detail

The following skills would be beneficial:

  • Experience in IT Helpdesk environment (e.g., first or second line support)
  • Previous experience using Snow Software or other SAM solution tools
  • Experience working with and interpreting large and complex documentation
  • Customer Service/Sales experience
  • Some understanding of software licensing models

Security check:

  • The successful applicant will have to pass / need to obtain SC Clearance

Entry requirements:

The entry requirements for this programme are as follows:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working week:

40 hours per week. 

Salary: 

£20,000 per annum. 

Future prospects: 

92% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally, there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.
