The company is a leading supplier of case management software for leading law firms. They deliver a Cloud Hosted system that had been adopted by many major law firms in both the UK and Internationally. 

They have been delivering their services since the 1970's and are ahead of the market and have recently updated their product and added multi-currency and multi-entity functionality. 

Overview:

As they continue to grow their client base and client retention through the quality of both software and the support that goes along side this, they are looking for a motivated Level 3 Junior Software Developer Apprentice to support them in cementing their longstanding and future UK presence whilst also supporting expansion into the legal market overseas. 

Duties: 

  • Work with the development team on existing and new projects.
  • Work with Customers to help design specifications based on their requirements.
  • Investigate issues to determine the cause and apply corrective measures or escalate accordingly.
  • Maintain effective communication with all parties over the Telephone, Microsoft Teams & email.
  • Adhere to and follow escalation process through to completion and the issue is resolved.
  • Work within the development team to design, implement and test code from a given specification within established standards.
  • Perform coding to technical specifications and quality standards
  • Creating and Developing applications, including Cloud based application development, using specialist software.
  • Assist with product deployment.
  • Participating in web development and continuous upgrades for the system.
  • Create, Maintain and Regularly updating technical documents to help with the design, development and delivery of software solutions.
  • Regularly provide feedback to the Development Manager.
  • Participate in meetings.
  • Participate and initiate peer code reviews with other members of the team. 

What we are looking for:

Desirable skills:

  • A working knowledge and experience of web development
  • A basic knowledge\understanding of .Net, C# .Net development, SQL and the practice of Unit Testing would be preferred.

  • The ability to work well under pressure and remain calm when faced with a challenge.

Entry requirements: 

  • 5 GCSE’s [especially English, Mathematics and a science or technology subject] 
  • Other relevant qualifications and experience 
  • Or an aptitude test with a focus on IT skills 

You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship in a similar subject. 

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme. 

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Salary: 

£12,500 - £15,000 per annum (dependent on skills and experience) 

Future prospects: 

The company currently have an IT Apprentice who will shortly complete his apprenticeship and has been offered a fulltime permanent position in the business on completion. 

You will also be offered this opportunity if you successfully complete your apprenticeship with the opportunity to develop in your role with more responsibilities, further support and training and an enhanced salary and benefits package.
