HTG - Howell Technical Group are looking for an IT apprentice to help grow their team. HTG have 25 years of industry experience delivering IT expertise and cloud sieves. HTG have a team of high-performance experts meaning this is a great position for someone looking to get started within the IT industry.

Overview:

We are now looking for an eager candidate to join us as an apprentice.

You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience as you complete a Level 3 IT Azure Cloud Support Specialist Apprenticeship.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working in a team of specialist engineers and consultants to deliver managed infrastructure services, consulting projects, and tired support services for clients.
  • You will be part of a team providing operational and delivery for the on-premises and hosted technologies and services provided by HTG.
  • Collaboration with business units and stakeholders across the commercial and technical teams to support proposals and client solutions.

Full training and support will be provided throughout the duration of the apprenticeship by Howell Technology Group.

What we are looking for:
Desired skills, qualities and knowledge:

  • Passionate about infrastructure technology
  • Basic understanding of IT operations and change processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure / Microsoft365

Eligibility criteria:

You must have lived in the UK and/or EU for at least 3 years prior to the start date of the apprenticeship.

Entry requirements: 

The entry requirements for this Azure Cloud Support Specialist programme are as follows:

  • 3 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject 
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above) 
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject 

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme. 

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Salary:

  • £12,000 - £15,000 per annum.

Working week:

  • Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.

Future prospects:

92% of QA Apprentices secure full-time employment after finishing their apprenticeship.

Additionally, there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programmes offer on-going development tracks.
