NOTE: This role is based on a client site (Marvell College) in Hull, but you will also need to travel to the company’s Nottingham office 1-2 times a week for training opportunities. Local accommodation and transport will be provided when travelling to Nottingham.

What’s in it for you:

This role is part of the Managed Services sector and is on a client site (Marvell College) working with another XMA Analyst to be the onsite support services for the client. You will gain experience of resolving routine ICT issues and/or contributing to new programmes and projects. You will have a range of duties in your own area and are expected to work initially with assistance and later supervision.

You will be responsible for:

  • Assessing reported issues in order to provide adequate resolutions and fixes, including Active Directory (user account management), Office 365/Microsoft technologies, software and hardware faults and networking
  • Troubleshooting basic network connectivity issues.
  • Utilising the ITSM tool for ticket logging management
  • Maintaining a high degree of customer service for all support queries
  • Adhering to managed service processes and procedures
  • Asset Management responsibilities
  • General End User support

You will need the following skills:

  • Experience interacting directly with customers.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Entry requirements:

The entry requirements for this Azure Cloud Support Specialist programme are as follows:

  • 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Salary:

The salary will rise to £17,500 after 6 months and £20,000 on completion of the apprenticeship. 

Working week:

35 hours per week,

Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm.

Future prospects:

92% of QA Apprentices secure full-time employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.
