We have been disrupting the car industry since being founded in 2012.  Back then, car buying processes had not been touched for decades so we decided to change that by taking the car buying journey online and putting cars into the familiar setting of a shopping centre rather than the usual out-of-town showrooms. 

We are now a recognised and award-winning leading authority in the car retail omni-channel space and set ourselves apart from any other as we are the only provider that has operated digital retail stores supported by our own pioneering e-commerce platform. 

Overview:

Currently, we have a position available for a 1st Line Support apprentice. 

This is an amazing opportunity to join a business that is well funded and be deeply involved with the development of the new platform, as well as supporting the customer base. 

The role will initially be for 16 months - During this time, you will receive classroom-based training as well as on the job training.

Once the apprenticeship is completed, you may possibly be able to continue to a permanent role.

Salary:

£15,000 per annum.

Main role / Responsibilities: [will include but not be limited to]:

  • Your day-to-day role will involve administering the desktops, laptops, printers, networking and iPhones

As well as:

  • Installing software onto computers
  • Installation of computer equipment
  • Resolving people’s issues with their computers

Desirable skills / experience will include:

  • Apple Mac and OSX
  • Apple iOS
  • Microsoft Windows
  • Microsoft Office
  • General TCP networking
  • A passion for a career in IT
  • Knowledge of how computers work, gained through school or self-learning
  • Someone who is committed / that sees things through

Non-technical qualities that we are looking for:

  • Passionate about computers
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with diplomacy and discretion
  • Able to provide excellent customer service
  • Work as part of a team
  • A methodical and highly organised approach to work

You need to be able to get to the office in Newbald, either by walking because you’re super local, or through the use of planes, trains, and automobiles. If you’re super lucky you’ll have your own car and can make use of the car park out the front.

Entry requirements:

The entry requirements for this Azure Cloud Support Specialist programme are as follows:

  • 3 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working week: 

Monday to Friday,

9am - 6pm.

40hrs a week.

Future prospects:

Once the apprenticeship is completed, you may possibly be able to continue to a permanent role as 92% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. 

Additionally, there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.

To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
