You will be responsible for:

  • First line support for diagnosing and resolving staff computing issues, primarily: Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Office, java runtime and issues with web browsers.
  • To assist in maintaining PC’s, laptops, printers, switches, firewalls and other network equipment.
  • System administration of Windows Server.
  • Supporting and maintaining Telecoms Infrastructure (Hosted VoIP).
  • Assisting with staff onboarding and exit procedures.
  • Keeping IT documentation up to date.
  • Helping to ensure that IT policies and procedures are refined and followed.

You will need the following skills:

  • Working knowledge of Windows 10.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of security software such as anti-virus software.
  • Good customer service.
  • The ability to produce documentation.
  • Good communication skills.

Entry requirements:

The entry requirements for this Azure Cloud Support Specialist programme are as follows:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working week:

37.5 hours per week, 9am - 5.30pm
