Our clients understand the importance of school library software that is reliable, intuitive and responsive. That’s why we have developed a school library system with all the time-saving tools you need to manage your school library smoothly and effectively. 

Overall / job purpose: 

The apprentice will be working as part of a small office-based team supporting Primary and Secondary Schools with the Library Management System that we have developed. 

You will primarily be assisting with the troubleshooting, and resolution, of bugs within our Library system. 

You will also be involved in the testing and bug resolution for other products that we have in development. 

Main responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, resolve and respond to bug reports
  • Provide support to our customers on occasion
  • Testing new releases of the system and other products
  • Assist with product documentation 

Desirable skills:

  • Knowledge of some programming languages. Ideally PHP/JavaScript but this is not essential if the candidate has good knowledge of another equivalent programming language. 
  • The ideal candidate would have a passion for coding, which would be demonstrated through their education up to this stage and ideally some personal projects that they have taken on. 
  • Some customer service experience would be good, but it is not required.

Entry requirements: 

You need to have 7 GCSE’s:

  • English GCSE (or equivalents) at grade D or above
  • 6x GCSE’s, including Maths, at grade A-C

You must not already have a qualification in a similar subject at the same level, or higher level than this apprenticeship. 

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
