The search is on! It’s a really exciting time at Arrow as they are looking to double the size of their business by the end of 2023.

Arrow specialises in telephony, data, IT and energy solutions for businesses. It offers a diverse portfolio ranging from hosted telephony and mobiles through to mobile device management, telephone systems, IT services, voice and data connectivity.

We have 12 offices at each end of the UK, from Scotland down to England, Northern Ireland and Wales.

The role will be as a member of our technical IT team and the candidate must be able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team. They will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external customers.

This role will be some field and mostly office-based Help Desk work for our IT customers and Arrow. As an apprentice you will help with the administration and procurement for our customers, and Arrow, as well as learning about the products and services we provide. It is a busy role that will require attention to detail but is important to the success of the whole team. You will be involved in first line support and as such, will probably be the first person the customer speaks to. Therefore, providing excellent customer service is something that you will enjoy as it differentiates Arrow from other organisations.

What will I learn?

• Primary Role will be build and configuration of windows desktops systems
• Ensuring all inbound repairs are dealt with in a timely manner
• Keeping the client up to date on progress
• Triage Inbound Calls into the Support Team
• Helping with the procurement and administration
• Help the team to provide technical support to our user base, both remotely or on-site as required
• Attending sites to assist in the implementation and installation of new systems, PC’s and other IT supplies including software

What qualification or qualities are required?

• Good all round IT knowledge
• Interested in all aspects of modern IT technology
• Good working knowledge of personal computing Operating Systems such as Windows 10
• More than proficient with MS Office applications
• Excellent Communication skills
• Excellent problem solver
• Strong teamwork and comfortable working under own direction
• Great Initiative and ability to work well in a crisis
• Positive attitude & willingness to progress and learn
• Accepts that a role in IT is not a typical ‘9 to 5’ role
Driver license or working towards gaining a license would be beneficial
