The Company are a market leading company in Specialist Insurance Products. 

Based in Birchwood, Warrington, they have recently relocated offices due to growth, so can offer a modern comfortable working environment. 

Overview:

They have a dress down culture on a Friday along with an early finish of 3pm. You would be joining a company who employs highly motivated self-managed staff which offers the freedom to excel in your apprenticeship. 

They are seeking a career-minded individual who wants to build a career in IT who, rather than just join an established IT team within a large organisation, if you want a unique opportunity to play an active role to help shape the IT strategy of a forward-thinking company in the Financial Services sector who are changing to a new dialler system. In the process you will gain valuable practical experience that will help you take your career to the next level.

Main responsibilities:

  • Providing desktop support for all internal and external members of staff
  • Taking a proactive approach for providing advice on how IT systems could be used to improve the management and efficiency of the business
  • Providing support for all IT related business requirements 
  • Liaising with the dialler provider to support current use of the system
  • Developing and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the dialler system to maximise use of all relevant features and functionality
  • Working with the management team to constantly improve and develop IT systems and processes
  • Developing management information systems and provide support for the supply of critical business information
  • Work with the Management team to launch the companies new online learning platform.

Desirable skills: 

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access Databases
  • Ability to understand commercial requirements to provide relevant IT solutions 
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access Databases
  • Proficient in Internet related applications such as E-Mail clients, FTP clients and Web Browsers. 
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and XML
  • Knowledge of PHP, C#.NET, MS SQL, ASP.NET 3.5+,ASP, JSP and Dreamweaver would also be advantageous but not essential

  • Creative thinker with fresh ideas
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organisational, and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized

Entry requirements:

You need to have 5 GCSE’s:

  • Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades D or above
  • 3x GCSE’s grade A-C in any other subject

You must not already have a qualification in a similar subject at the same level, or higher level than this apprenticeship.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working week:

9am - 5.30pm, Monday - Thursday & 9am – 3pm on Friday (37.5 hrs a week)
