Who you’ll be working for:
The company specialises in land based casino solutions utilising the latest cutting edge technologies.

The company are currently seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join them as a Software Apprentice. They are a small, friendly and close knit company in Oldham, Greater Manchester that have an agile and informal office environment and dress down culture, where banter is plenty, work is plenty, and the staff and teams work closely together. You will be responsible for:

  • Working alongside Senior Software Engineers to develop new products and maintain existing products
  • Working alongside Senior Software Engineers to test new and existing products
  • Participating in the different aspects of the product development life cycle
  • Participating in agile development
  • Participating in daily scrums
  • Participating in team meetings
  • Working alongside 3rd party partners on joint projects
  • Gaining core knowledge and experience in software engineering best practices

You will need the following skills:

  • Be a good communicator
  • Be eager to learn new skills and read books and articles to enhance skills 
  • Organised 
  • Good work ethic and open to new ideas
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Entry requirements:

  • 7 GCSEs total
  • English GCSE grade D or above
  • Other 6 GCSEs, including Maths, to be C or above
  • You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working week:
Monday to Friday: 9:00am - 5:00pm (37.5 hours per week)
