A UK leading, independent flooring wholesaler supplying flooring products to trade customers, distributors, and retailers across the country. Since Kellars were acquired by a major private investment in 2018 Kellars have, year on year, we have grown at a rapid rate, and aim to be the largest flooring wholesaler in the UK in the next few years. 

Starting with 6 employees, 1 HGV Vehicle and 10,000 sq ft of warehouse space prior to the investment.

In 2023, we now have 4 depots; Shildon, Stockport, Glasgow and Rugby, and over 400,000 sq ft of warehouse space. Along with a fleet of 50 HGV Vehicles and 100 employees and continue to grow at rapid pace.

We aim to provide next day delivery for our customers, ensuring they are never left waiting for stock. 

Overview:
An opportunity has arisen for someone eager to become an Apprentice at our offices based in Shildon. 
We are looking for someone with an organised approach and can communicate to support the office and Data functions.

Location:

Shildon, The Future Business Park, DL4 2RB

Working week: 

37.5 hours per week, from 9am – 5pm

Salary: 

Starting at £13,650 per annum, then rising to £19,500 per annum, after 6 month probation.

Office duties include:

  • Entering & Importing stock onto system
  • Maintaining Stock on system
  • Maintaining Stock Due Dates Data
  • Data entry & systems admin
  • Answering incoming calls
  • Processing orders
  • Post
  • Any other ad-hoc Data reporting or administrative work as required
  • Use Microsoft Excel
  • Provide analysis of data and reports

The apprentice will be trained multi-skilled and once finished will have the opportunity to choose where in the business they'd like to progress once the opportunity arises.

Desirable qualities and skills:

  • Personable
  • Confident in person and over the phone
  • Flexible and open minded
  • Some Microsoft knowledge
  • Able to work independently and use imitative as well as being able to collaborate with other members of staff

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
