Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Apprentice.
The successful candidate will begin a journey as an integral team member, helping provide best in class IT Support to the businesses and end users.
You will be fully supported throughout and beyond a Level 3 Apprenticeship, working on site in a live environment of high transactional bus operations.
Salary:
£18,000 per annum.
Duties include:
- Providing technical support to internal IT users
- Install, update, maintain and support Windows OS - 10 operating systems
- Diagnosing and solving hardware faults such as laptops, phones, and wireless controllers
- Technical support related to software, hardware, and connectivity issues on all mobile devices for end users
- Support users with set-up of new or replacement workstation and mobile handsets
- Basic end-user training in the use of hardware & software
- Work with other team members to monitor and respond appropriately to support calls, via telephone, email and in person
- Deploy suitable work arounds where faults cannot be rectified, to minimise impact on business operations
- Take ownership of logged incidents and ensure enquirers are kept up to date on progress
- Undertake any other appropriate duties as directed by the IT Manager or other members of the IT Management Team
What we are looking for:
Candidates must:
- Be well organised with good attention to detail
- Be able to travel to 10 offices across London
- Have effective communication and customer relation skills (written and verbal)
- Have account management skills to co-ordinate multiple external stakeholders
- Be comfortable working as a part of a team and equally on own initiative
- Have a flexible approach and be prepared to work outside normal hours to meet deadlines or work demands
- Be an excellent team player by providing assistance and support to colleagues in IT-related matters
- Be comfortable talking to people / Ensure that a high level of customer service and support is provided to all internal and external customers
Entry requirements:
The entry requirements for this Azure Cloud Support Specialist programme are as follows:
- 3 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
- Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

92% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally, there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.
