Crandles & Co are chartered financial planners who provide sound unbiased financial advice, a first-class service, and innovative solutions while acting in their clients best interests at all times.

The industry now has a need for young Para planners and IFAs to come through from school and university and they are currently looking to add a Digital Support Apprentice to their team.

As a valued member of the team, this role would be very much admin based and would be a terrific starting point for anyone.  You will be working within an organisation of highly trained and skilled staff that are passionate about the work that they do.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining diaries for Financial Advisors using outlook
  • Working with Microsoft Office Packages
  • General office duties including filing
  • General Administration for financial planning and/or mortgage intermediaries
  • Supporting IFAs/Mortgage Intermediaries with data entry using Intelligent Office - A Bespoke financial advisory system.
  • Creating and sending valuation reports/client reviews utilising Outlook Excel & Word
  • Processing letters of authorities for all new and existing clients
  • Ongoing on the job Training towards industry qualifications
  • Meeting and greeting clients
  • Answering calls and checking messages

Required Skills:

  • Genuine desire to work in the financial services
  • Good Organisation skills
  • Confident Communicator who enjoys working within a team and who can work independently when required
  • Friendly and approachable
  • Good attention to detail
  • Motivated to learn
  • Good timing keeping and attendance essential

Additional Information:

  • Salary - £14,000 per annum
  • Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm
  • Good Company pension scheme with the opportunity to join our private medical care at a reduced cost.
  • 6 weeks holiday pay with an additional 4 days over Christmas/New year

Future Career Progression:

2 different options:

  • Para planning - This involves much more in depth analysis of the advice, research processes and building the advice as the Para planner for an adviser to present to clients.
  • The second route is IFA – often a good Para planner advances to this position.
