Edlets lists thousands of unique spaces throughout the city, including rooms in private houses, bed and breakfasts and hotels, entire apartments, townhouses and mansions.

 

You will become a vital function in a close-knit team responsible for helping clients get the most from their stay in their visit to Scotland's capital. By phone or email, you will be answering questions from guests and matching accommodation to requirements to ensure visitors to Edinburgh live in interesting places that allow them to live like a local and have a different experience to that of a typical tourist. You will be working for a company with a history of hiring apprentices offering the perfect environment to kick-start your career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Using an online property database to identify suitable properties for clients
  • Assist with producing the EdLets online blog.
  • Assisting with upkeep and maintenance of website.
  • Providing support with image editing and other graphics support for showcasing properties using Photoshop and Gimp.
  • Using EdLets in-house database system to log customer and client details
  • Social media marketing - using Facebook and Twitter to engage with potential clients and produce relevant content.
  • Communicating via phone and email with programmes like Thunderbird.
  • General administrative duties
  • Taking incoming calls and processing the queries.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills
  • Confident using technology
  • The ability to work unsupervised
  • A confident and friendly personality as well as a good work ethic.
  • A 2nd language would be useful but not essential
  • Knowledge of the local area to make recommendations to customers (Places to stay/go out, tourist attractions, etc.)

Additional Information:

  • Salary - £14,000 per annum, Reviewed upon the completion of program.
  • 09:00 - 18:00 Mon-Fri, 1 hour lunch

 

Future Career Progression:

  • At the end of your program there will be a review to determine future role.
