The Trust exists to support and assist schools to build upon their existing strengths and to help them achieve educational excellence. It has a proven track record of school development and transformation and significant experience in running schools. It includes both a sponsored academy and a school which has chosen to convert to academy status.

The Trust was formed in 2017 with the linking of Ray Lodge and Farnham Green under one Executive Headteacher. It encompasses over 1300 pupils in Woodford and Seven Kings.

Overview:

We are now looking for an eager candidate to join us as an apprentice.

You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience as you complete a Level 3 IT Azure Cloud Support Specialist Apprenticeship. 

Purpose of the Post: 

You will provide front line onsite support for network and interactive learning equipment, ensuring all IT related issues are identified, documented and resolved in a timely and professional manner. 

The role will sit within the support team, to install, configure and test new IT and AV equipment and network systems, including hardware, peripherals and software according to the manufacturer instructions and ensure that they operate to their maximum potential. 

Main responsibilities:

  •    Diagnose and resolve network, software and hardware faults (including peripherals), and perform maintenance repairs and upgrades as required.
  •    Assist in the appropriate deployment of hardware around the school.
  •    Ensure the Internet connectivity is maintained. 
  •    To ensure asset registers are kept up to date. 
  •    Monitor the backup system to ensure it is safe and effective. 
  •    Maintain the firewall protection for the school.
  •    Undertake day to day maintenance (including changing printer cartridges, projector bulbs, remotes, batteries, IWB pens, etc) and repair of IT equipment and to participate in a preventative maintenance programme.
  •    Carry out reactive and preventative measures to ensure IT across the school is fit for purpose.
  •    Support other network-based systems such as access control, cashless catering, wireless AP, internet filtering, antivirus protection, data backups etc.

Entry requirements:

The entry requirements for this Azure Cloud Support Specialist programme are as follows:

  • 3 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject 

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Salary:

£17,148.25 per annum.
