Overview:

We are now looking for an eager candidate to join us as an apprentice.

You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience as you complete a Level 3 IT Azure Cloud Support Specialist Apprenticeship.

In this varied, hands-on role you will be supporting the business strategically and operationally through effective forward planning and reactive troubleshooting. 

As a key member of the team, you will be dedicated to ensuring the long-term success of the business in collaboration with the management. 

Duties:

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing first line IT Support to Techienology Ltd and all its customers
  • Providing monitoring for Network & Servers
  • Taking phone calls on the Service Desk, handling Service portal tickets and emails
  • Providing remote and on-site IT Support where required
  • Monitoring the Service Desk for new issues
  • Responding to system failures in a timely manner
  • Creating and maintaining procedures for new and existing processes (SOPs)
  • Troubleshooting customer technical faults and driving fault resolution
  • Providing Project Support
  • Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the IT Manager and the Senior Management Team

  • First Line IT Support skills required
  • Experience of a Service Desk environment
  • Good confidence and problem solving
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Dynamic personality with desire to own problems through to resolution
  • Flexible approach to work with the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Cooperative and positive working
  • Strong customer service focus and strives to deliver service excellence
  • Experience setting up PC Hardware and Operating Systems
  • Experience of Windows 7, 10, 11 and Office 2010 – 2019
  • Passion for Technology
  • Experience of Office 365 is beneficial
  • Experience of Active Directory is beneficial
  • Understanding of Networking principles is beneficial

Entry requirements:

The entry requirements for this Azure Cloud Support Specialist programme are as follows:

  • 3 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject 

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme. 

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Future prospects:

92% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally, there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.
